Design Notes

Cas9 functions by introducing double-strand breaks in DNA at SBEI and SBEII locations directed by a sgRNA, respectively. This capability allows for precise gene editing, enabling applications in genetic research and biotechnology.

Source

Cas9 derived from the bacterial immune system of Streptococcus pyogenes. We obtained Cas9 sequence from the psgR-Cas9-At vector.
